How we protect your crew's data
Your schedule holds people's pay, contact details and credentials. Here is what Easier Done does to protect it.
Signing in
Accounts are protected against the common ways they get compromised.
- Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, never in readable form.
- Two-factor authentication with an authenticator app, available for every account.
- Accounts lock temporarily after repeated failed sign-ins.
- Anyone can sign out of every device at once, and resetting a password ends existing sessions.
Keeping companies separate
Easier Done serves many companies, and each one's data stays its own.
- Every record belongs to one company and is only ever returned to people in that company.
- Pay rates and personal contact details are hidden from coworkers unless someone has the permission to see them.
- When our team needs to help inside your account, that access is time-limited and clearly marked as support activity.
Backups and reliability
Your schedule and records are protected against losing the server.
- The database is continuously copied to separate offsite storage, so a hardware failure doesn't take your data with it.
- Uploaded files are backed up offsite as well.
- Backups are restored and checked, not just assumed to work.
- Errors are monitored so problems are noticed and fixed quickly.
In transit
Connections to Easier Done are encrypted.
- The app and this website are served over HTTPS, and session cookies are marked secure.
